AMCS Group, the leading provider of a comprehensive ERP suite with fully integrated on-board vehicle technology for the solid waste and recycling industries, is looking for a Regional Sales Manager – West Coast to meet the needs of our growing company.


The Regional Sales Manager’s role is to mine for and contact enterprise prospects in a designated territory, conservatively discuss their business needs, demonstrate how AMCS Group can meet those needs, and ultimately sell our products to new customers. In addition, the RSM will manage a current book of business mining for cross sale and up sale opportunities with their customer base as well as maintaining his/her customer’s highest level of satisfaction. The successful candidate for this full-time position will work from their home which will be ideally located in or around Chicago. Travel can range up to or beyond 50% of the time within their territory and can be overnight.




Responsibilities:


  • Utilize a highly consultative sales approach to uncover and document driving business needs with prospects and current customers and, turn them into potential sales opportunities
  • Communicate and work closely with our Inside Sales Team as to scheduled on-site visits and on-line demonstrations of our products
  • Perform product demonstrations both on-line and in person as the sales process dictates
  • Attend local trade shows as designated by the VP of Sales and represent PC Scale and AMCS Group in the best light while doing so
  • Respond to RFPs/RFIs as they arise
  • Build Account Plans to successfully sell to major accounts
  • Assist with the transition of customers from the pre-sales phase to the implementation phase working closely with the assigned Project Manager and, work with that Project Manager to continuously evaluate future sales opportunities
  • Assist our implementation staff when needed during and after the customer goes live on our software
  • Follow-up on all new sales 90-120 days after to ensure customer satisfaction and mine for opportunities to upsell other products
  • Continuously follow-up with customers at a minimum frequency defined by our evaluation of the customer’s potential revenue stream
  • Meet daily, monthly, and quarterly activity and revenue goals as set by the Upper Management Team
  • Track and record all sales activity in our sales tracking software and present to management as needed
  • React to other business needs and sales projects as they arise



Requirements:


  • Business degree or a minimum of 5 years related experience in the field of sales and/or account management
  • Proven track record of success in an outside sales position preferably within either the Waste and Recycling Industry or software sales and, at a C-level
  • Demonstrated experience in Solution Selling to both private companies and municipalities
  • Experience with Mobile Computing, RFID and Scale Technology beneficial
  • Experience in responding to RFPs/RFIs
  • Excellent written, oral, interpersonal, and presentational skills
  • Demonstrate familiarity with Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language
  • Highly self-motivated and driven personality is essential
  • Ability to absorb new ideas and concepts quickly
  • Good analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Very strong customer service orientation
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
