Axonista is looking for a UI / UX Designer to work on our Interactive Video CMS product. Our customers use the CMS to ingest video content, manage rights, metadata, build and curate collections of content, author interactive capabilities, and much more.


About You

You have experience designing for web based CMS products or complex web apps for at least 3 years. You're motivated by both team and personal success, you're a fast learner and passionate about technology.

You're able to work effectively as part of a fully remote team, you're generally a happy human and you enjoy collaborating with other people, helping and challenging each other to get your collective best work done. You're confident in your abilities, and able to take ownership of delivering high-quality designs.


What the role involves

Working closely with product to create design solutions with a user centred design approach. This includes identifying the needs of the user via conducting research, analysis, and interviews. Mapping potential solutions via diagramming and wire-framing. Building realistic prototypes to conduct user testing and concept validation on. Iterating designs based on feedback from test sessions and internal stakeholders. Producing high fidelity designs that are both user friendly and practical to implement. All while building out and maintaining a visual design system for the CMS. You will be joining a small team of designers in a company of 40 people.


 Must Have Experience

  • 3-5 years experience in a digital design role, ideally specifically CMS or similar.
  • A portfolio of high fidelity designs and prototypes that demonstrate strong, interaction design and UI skills.
  • Experience using Sketch (or similar) for creating high fidelity designs
  • Experience using Miro (or similar) for creating diagrams.
  • Experience using Invision or Framer for creating prototypes.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, and an appetite for learning.
  • Strong opinions, weakly held.


 For Bonus Points

  • Front-end web development skills. (CSS, HTML, Javascript).
  • Video editing / animation skills.
  • Experience with Abstract (version control design tool).
  • Photo editing / Illustration skills.
