Axonista is looking for a UX Researcher to work on our products and customer projects. We work very closely with our customers to design and engineer tailored interactive video app experiences for phone, tablet, web, and TV. These apps are also usually powered by our suite of products, including our video CMS.

What you’ll be doing

As a UX Researcher, you'll conduct user interviews to gather insights into their behaviour and needs, along with various other research methods. Analyse competitor apps and document their offerings. Work closely with our UI/UX designers to help ideate, create user journey maps, wireframes, and various diagrams to outline the experience and align the team. Once a solution has been created by the design team, and a prototype created - you will use that prototype to validate solutions via user / usability testing. You will be joining a small team of designers in a company of 40 people.

What you'll need

  • 1-3 years experience in a UX Researcher role, or a more general UX Designer role that has a strong emphasis on research.
  • A portfolio that displays strong research processes and methods.
  • Experience conducting User Interviews.
  • Experience conducting User and Usability Testing.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, and an appetite for learning.
  • Strong opinions, weakly held.

For bonus points

  • Experience with eCommerce
  • Experience with TV Design patterns.
  • Experience creating Wireframes, Personas, Journey Maps, etc.
  • UI Design skills.
