Job Title:                  Prepared Consumer Foods Business Executive


 

Reporting to:            Prepared Consumer Foods Senior Business Development Manager


Salary & Grade:       Grade 5 with a starting salary of €41,746. The Scale for this Grade is €42,163 - €62,244. New Entrants to the Public Sector commence on the first point of the Scale


Job Purpose:             To assist with the delivery of growth in the prepared consumer food sector by supporting prepared consumer foods companies deliver their business plans. The client companies will be across all of the prepared consumer food sector.

Prepared Consumer Food Client Companies, DAFM, FDII, SFA, Teagasc, Enterprise Ireland, Retailers and Foodservice Operators, Consultants and Service Providers.

 


Key Accountabilities  


  1. To implement bespoke annual client plans and support clients in the implementation of their marketing strategy to enhance growth.
  2. To drive growth through working with markets, channels and insights experts to ensure the delivery of business development and lead generation opportunities for client companies.
  3. To execute and direct clients to relevant Bord Bia services to promote growth in companies.
  4. Champion insight-led behaviours through working with client companies to embed insight to drive growth.
  5. Maintain Bord Bia’s leadership position for route to market and sector competency development to ensure high levels of client satisfaction.
  6. Champion Origin Green to client companies supporting their membership and enhancing their engagement with the programme


Main Duties


1.To build relationships with clients to develop a deep understanding of clients’ ambitions and capabilities to achieve their growth targets.

2. To work with clients to build insight and strategy led annual client plans to drive growth.

3. To liaising with client companies to identify their KPIs to enable the development of Bord Bia’s bespoke annual client plans.

4. To proactively identify key supports and capability builds required by client companies to achieve their objectives.

5. To fully support the implementation of clients’ plans by building and maintaining strong relationships within Bord Bia and also externally such industry stakeholders, state agencies and other relevant organisations.

6.Work closely with clients to implement their marketing strategy to achieve growth.

7. To manage the coordination of multiple sector buyer requests with overseas offices for conclusion within agreed timeframes.

8.Utilise Bord Bia activities such as Marketplace International, Trade Fairs, Bloom to ensure the successfully delivery of high-impact business development and lead generation opportunities for client companies.

9. To oversee the coordination and development of Bord Bia PCF plans and budgets to ensure that they are completed within the proposed deadlines.

10. Represent the voice of PCF companies internally to ensure Bord Bia supports match sector growth requirements.

11. Successfully deliver PCF development projects across sectors in Route to Market areas to achieve clients’ objectives.

12. To proactively engage and coordinate client activity with internal partners to ensure maximum success.

13. To contribute to the development and execution of the PCF strategy to achieve internal KPIs.

14. Develop a tailored approach for clients using most suitable market and sectoral insights to accelerate growth

15. Communicate the benefits of the Origin Green programme to client companies to ensure they understood the ongoing value of membership participation


PERSON SPECIFICATION



Qualifications:

  • Degree level qualification in relevant discipline


Experience:

  • A minimum of 3+ years industry relevant experience in a similar field
  • Proven track record in relationship management/influencing capability
  • Experience of working with cross-functional teams
  • Project management experience; sector relevant experience, e.g. food, drink advantageous
  • Budget management experience


Required Skills:

  • A strong team player with the ability to work on their own initiative
  • A strong communicator with the ability to build relationships both internally and externally
  • Excellent interpersonal, relationship building, influencing/ negotiation and collaborating skills.
  • An individual capable of influencing & bringing people with them
