BMG has manufacturing operations in Trumbauersville, Pennsylvania, Suzhou China along with Supply Chain and Logistics operations in India, Taiwan and Vietnam.

This newly created position located near Quakertown, PA, will support the daily activities to deliver integrated supply chain solutions for our customers. This role is instrumental to ensure planning and sourcing activities are executed timely with suppliers and key business stakeholders. The Supply Chain Specialist is a critical role to facilitate and execute BMG’s strategy of growing and developing best cost contract manufacturing and sourcing solutions for our customers, globally.

 

Essential Duties

 

§ Communicates with overseas suppliers to meet ship dates, track freights and delivery status.

§ Works closely with Supply Chain Manager to provide Demand signals to Purchasing/ Production.

§ Participate in supplier and contractor performance evaluations and business review with stakeholders.

§ Place orders via purchase order line item releases as recommended by MRP/ERP System.

§ Maintain system planning parameters (e.g. lot size, lead-time and safety stock levels, delivery dates etc.)

§ Ensure Finished Goods Inventory accuracy in the warehouse by leading routine Cycle Counts

§ Monitor product life cycles and alert appropriate team members to any supply disruptions or aged inventory

§ Perform root cause analyses on supply disruptions or material delivery issues and report on corrective actions.

§ Evaluate spend/ supplier performance and recommend mitigations across Bracalente global supply network.

§ Participates in cross-functional teams to improve systems, processes or internal/external performance.

§ Performs other tasks as assigned.

 

Qualifications & Requirements:

§ Fluency in English and Mandarin is required

§ Proficiency in purchasing / planning / ERP systems and analytics tools.

§ Knowledge of fundamental concepts of Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) and Procurement including inventory management, cycle counts, expediting and order placement

§ Ability to analyze and present data in an organized, clear, and concise manner.

§ Proficiency in MS Office applications

§ Proficient written and verbal communication skills

§ Ability to work in a Team Environment, and independently for extended periods of time

§ Ability to understand and solve complicated supply and demand problems

§ Able to travel 5% of the time

 

Education/ Experience:

§ Bachelor’s Degree a Plus.

§ 3+ years relevant Supply Chain work experience - Procurement, planning/ Scheduling in an ERP System environment preferred

§ An equivalent combination of education, experience and training may substitute.

§ APICS Certification a Plus.
