Position Summary: Overall responsibility for the management of sales staff activities within Canada Cartage Logistics Solutions, encompassing Vanguard, D2H, DDC, ensuring revenue growth based on company projections.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

        • Manage a team of 5-10 direct reports within the Sales department

        • Ensure performance of the sales group to meet CCLS revenue goals

        • Provide the business with proper and accurate customer reporting management information

        • Utilize up to date marketing material provided by the company to maximize sales benefit

        • Conduct customer visits with sales staff

        • Develop solutions for existing and prospective customers

        • Assist with the pricing of new business

        • Act as a member of the CCLS senior management team, including involvement in major decisions and strategies (i.e. Technology, Supplier Procurement, , billing systems, etc.)

        • Review and participate in outgoing RFP’s, or non-solicited proposals

        • Assist in the closing of an account when required

        • Potential to act as an account manager for major customers

        • Continuous Improvement, continually strives to improve work processes, methods, environment, customer service, personal and team performance

        • Other duties as required

Working Experience and Skills

  • University degree in Business with a focus on Sales is an asset

  • A minimum of 10 years’ experience in Sales and Management in the transportation/third party logistics industry

  • Previous sales experience

  • Strong communication skills

  • Strong relationship skills

  • Creative and eager with a can do attitude

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office

  • Willing to travel, approx. 10-25%
