Position Title: E-Learning Specialist

Engineers Without Borders USA (EWB-USA) is a dynamic non-profit organization based in Denver, Colorado. EWB-USA supports community-driven development programs worldwide through partnerships that design and implement sustainable engineering projects, while creating transformative experiences that enrich global perspectives and create responsible leaders. Established in 2002, EWB-USA has over 16,000 members engaged in 600 projects around the world. Through these partnerships, EWB-USA helps communities meet their basic needs such as clean water, sanitation and renewable energy.
This position is located in the Denver, Colorado office working on the Volunteer Engagement Team.

This position will equip thousands of EWB-USA members and volunteers to successfully work on EWB-USA projects, committees and goals. Strategy & Curation
Work with staff and key stakeholders to design and implement a strategic framework for education and training curriculum relevant to all volunteers, from college students to seasoned professionals.
Curate current articles and resources within Knowledge Base; implement and uphold an intuitive library system for EWB-USA’s educational material.
Development & Design
Work closely with subject matter experts to draw out content and develop key resources in accordance with the top needs of the organization.
Employ a consistent approach to course and materials development.
Produce content in various media formats (video, audio, still graphics).
Develop storyboards and scripts for e-learning and virtual live training.
Create images, animations and special effects that identify a concept or convey a message.
Integrate emerging instructional design methods and technologies into e-learning; apply interactive learning and design principles to instructional solutions for adult learners.
Manage and communicate timelines for all aspects of curriculum development.
Implementation & Evaluation
Upload and configure e-learning content into learning management system.
Establish and measure learning objectives for all educational material; make adjustments to ensure learning objectives are being met.
Provide user support as needed for learning management system.
Proven experience as an e-learning developer.
Demonstrated ability to produce content in a variety of media formats (video, audio, still graphics).
Outstanding editing, written and oral communication skills, well-honed relationship building skills, and highly developed interpersonal skills with the presence and personal style to represent the organization to multiple constituents.
Proficiency in Google Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, PowerPoint, learning management systems.
Salesforce experience strongly desired.
Experience with volunteer engagement and training strongly preferred.
Demonstrated initiative, critical thinking, problem solving and project management skills.
Availability to work evening and weekend hours as needed.
Travel 1-3 times per year to attend EWB-USA events within the United States. International travel is not a regular part of this position.
