Our Weighbridge Opportunity


Our Weighbridge Operatives are the first people our customers and clients meet when coming into the depots, and the last people they see on the way out.

Without their customer service skills and industry knowledge, our depots wouldn't be the successes they are today.

As a Weighbridge Administrator, you will develop a solid foundation of knowledge and expertise of the company and the industry, and the role can be that great first step into a career in recycling and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

·        Managing all vehicles entering and exiting the depot by weighing their load and recording data accurately

·        Providing all appropriate paperwork and carry out the necessary admin work to complete the process

·        Recording and calculating inputs and outputs, producing weighbridge tickets

·        Liaising with customers including and acting as first point of contact for a customer to resolve any issues/problems (being front of house)

·        Maintaining and develop an effective relationship with all customers

·        Provide all customers with standard PPE and collection when leaving depot and ensure all customers wear the PPE

·        Liaise with other team members within the operational depot and keep a steady flow of traffic moving within the operational depot

·        To make any appropriate weight deductions from loads following communication from the operational depot

·        Be aware of the surrounding depot and communicate clearly with the operational depot team

·        Good concentration levels are essential when data input the weights

·        Provide the commercial team with photos and email communication regards scarp loads

·        Provide all customers with standard PPE and collection when leaving depot and ensure all customers wear the PPE

·        Responsible for all daily check sheets 

·        Working with the hands free radio and operational depot CCTV

·        To ensure the weight of all good received at the depot are verified, together with the appropriate metal grade

·        Processing delivery notes timely and in accordance to EMRs polices

·        To carry out all necessary paperwork and ad hoc admin support for the operational depot

·        Produce corresponding documentation with EMRs internal IT system

·        To deal with drivers and processing transactions and ensure that all changes and transactions are recorded for future reference

·        Responsible for all daily check sheets  

·        Working with the hands free radio and operational depot CCTV

Key Deliverables

·        To distribute all incoming telephone enquiries in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring that callers are directed to the relevant person for action

·        To distribute all incoming post on the same morning it is received at the operational depot, together with sorting and making arrangements for all external mail/post on a daily basis

·        To provide general administrative support to the operational depots and local region team as and when required

·        To liaise with customers, contractors and any visitors to the site in a courteous, polite and efficient manner

·        To have an understanding of the procedure for the radiation detection when any customer enters the operational depot (full training)

Experience/Qualifications/Skills

·        High level of oral and written communication skills in order to communicate effectively to the operational depot

·        IT literate with the ability to think analytically and laterally

·        Previous weighbridge experience would be preferred

·        Experience of a fast pace environment
