About Our Assistant Waste & By-Product Manager Opportunity

Your role will be assisting the Waste & By-Product Manager in developing novel applications for metal recycling by-products as well as supporting sampling and compliance. You will be central to developing and implementing a compliant and sustainable strategy to maximise the value of our by-products through minimising waste to landfill and creating new recycling and recovery routes.

This position is perfect for somebody who has recently completed a degree within either engineering, chemistry or environmental science

What you will be doing:

  • Sampling & interpretation of waste streams
  • Developing new outlets and materials with Waste & By-product Manager through analysis, process development and off-taker trials
  • Working with colleagues to implement quality controls that deliver consistent materials
  • Assistance in managing logistics to provide a consistent and responsive service
  • Ensuring all off-takers provide a service compliant with all relevant legislation
  • Putting in place robust contractual arrangements
  • Providing regular forecasts and progress reports
  • Maintaining up to date market knowledge

About you

  • You will have a solid background in either, waste management, environmental consulting or similarly related field
  • Your track record shows someone who is motivated and passionate towards sustainability and the circular economy
  • You will have excellent communication and people skills
  • You will have outstanding attention to accuracy and detail
  • You are dynamic and react well to change, by inviting feedback and thinking positively.
  • You will hold a degree within either engineering, chemistry or environmental science
