Position Summary:

This position is responsible for the overall management of a client or several clients and assumes a key role in the development of brand strategy. This position will provide strategic direction to the internal team based on client direction as well as retain and grow existing business.

Basic Responsibilities:

·        Agency lead in working with clients to formulate and implement strategies and programs

·        Provides strategic support for Agency recommendations across all assigned accounts

·        Assigns duties, goals, and directly oversees account team members and supervises all development and execution of client projects to ensure successful execution of plan while fostering long-term business relationships

·        Provides account team leadership and manages multi-functional support to ensure proper team resource management

·        Maintains open and complete communication of client issues with senior management while heading off issues proactively

·        Builds and maintains client relationships as well as retains existing business to contribute to Agency’s overall performance and growth established in conjunction with senior management

·        Effectively forecasts and oversees financial management of all assigned accounts

·        Accountable to resolve financial situations with minimal involvement but elevates to senior management when deemed necessary

·        Establishes priorities for client workflow with consideration of all Agency deliverables

·        Collaborates in company innovation and development initiatives

·        Provides leadership and conveys the vision and values of the Agency to staff at all levels of the organization

·        Ensures collaboration among all agency departments by fostering cross functional teamwork and strong agency morale

·        Builds development plan for account team members and actively participates in management and training of assigned account team

·        Performs other duties as assigned

Required Skills and Qualifications:

·        Strong passion in delivering extraordinarily high service and desire to grow agency-client relationships

·        Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Advertising or equivalent discipline required

·        12+ years’ experience within a healthcare communications firm, high-volume advertising agency, pharmaceutical or medical education company

·        Pharmaceutical or medical device experience required

·        Proven ability to think strategically with the ability to teach others to think strategically

·        Demonstrated experience working in a collaborative, team environment with direct management experience

·        Must be able to manage and interact with people at all levels of an organization with a focus on fostering strong cross-functional teamwork

·        Proven ability to define, grow and establish new business opportunities

·        Must be self-motivated, professional, detail oriented, and possess excellent oral and written communication skills

·        Demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced environment and comfortable working under pressure within tight deadlines

·        Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PPT, Word, Outlook)

·        May require up to 20% travel to project assignment and client meetings
