About the role

We are currently looking for an Associate Scientific Solutions Consultant to be based out of one of our UK offices, located in Brighton, London, Abingdon, or Knutsford. This role is appropriate for an established senior medical writer or higher who may be seeking an opportunity to assume a writing role that differs from more traditional medical communications agency work. Key responsibilities involve taking the editorial lead for the development of bespoke programme content across a range of consulting services and education/training initiatives, in collaboration with a group of international opinion leaders.

The Associate Scientific Solutions Consultant position should appeal to skilled writers with an ability to build detailed therapy area knowledge and an aptitude for identifying the strengths and weaknesses of clinical trial data, and their clinical implications. The ideal candidate will demonstrate an ability to prepare a range of written materials incorporating expert clinical perspectives on rapidly evolving therapy areas and bring innovative thinking to enhance the development and delivery of consulting services.

The successful individual will be a graduate with a higher degree in science or related discipline and have 3+ years’ medical communications agency experience in a writing role. In addition, the candidate will need to:

  • Build lasting working relationships with key opinion leaders
  • Proactively solve problems on projects and identify innovative solutions
  • Work independently with minimal supervision and limited brief, as well as part of a team
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Have experience of MS Office, particularly PowerPoint slide development
  • Work accurately, under pressure, and with attention to detail
  • Have strong organizational, process management and numeracy skills
  • Occasional international business travel is a requirement for this role. Experience of inflammatory skin disease (eg, psoriasis, atopic dermatitis) would be an advantage.
