Position Summary:

We are seeking an editorial supervisor with oncology experience and exceptional editorial skills to champion our newest brand in our fast-paced, highly demanding environment. This individual will contribute to the development of award-winning collateral from our office in NYC or Conshohocken, PA. This is a hands-on, roll up your sleeves position with the potential for direct reports.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Edit, fact check, proofread, and QC promotional print and digital materials, such as detail aids (digital and print), iPad apps, patient brochures, journal ads, product websites, banner ads, direct mail, slide presentations, and PIs
  • Ensure all collateral conforms to AMA and client-specific style guidelines
  • Create, maintain, and distribute style guide for assigned brand
  • Work closely with Creative, Client Services, and Project Management to achieve project goals
  • Bring promotional copy into compliance with FDA regulations
  • Oversee additional editor as the account grows
  • Serve as an editorial resource for the office & agency


Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Strong written communication skills—able to mark revisions clearly on manuscripts and layouts
  • Ability to spot and correct inconsistencies in grammar, spelling, punctuation, style, and usage across multiple pieces
  • Ability to fact check high-science copy, charts, and graphs
  • Ability to effectively handle multiple assignments at one time
  • Relentless attention to detail
  • Able to maintain a high level of productivity with minimal supervision
  • Inquisitive mind and positive attitude—strong collaborative skills
  • Able to maintain composure in a fast-paced work environment
  • Ability to recruit, train, and mentor junior-level editors


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Mandatory requirement of 3 years of editorial experience in oncology at a healthcare advertising agency. Additional experience above this minimum is preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to be a contributing team member
  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • Working knowledge of AMA Manual of Style, 10th edition
  • Proficient use of MS Word, Adobe Acrobat and its markup tools, and standard internet applications


Candidates will be tested on their editing and proofreading competency.
