Our Kaplan Covent Garden school is located in one of London’s most fashionable areas, and is housed in a beautiful 18th century building, modernized for student use. It’s just a five minute walk to Covent Garden, and well connected to the rest of London via underground and buses, allowing you to make the most of your time in the city.

We are now recruiting a Student Services Manager to oversee general customer services, student finance and manage day-to-day student administration. In this role, you will take the lead in initiatives to improve the student experience.

More specifically, the role will involve:

  • Overseeing reception staff and reception services
  • Managing general student services and improving administration processes
  • Operating efficient systems for dealing with student and agent enquiries
  • Acting as the first point of contact for walk-in business and agent visits
  • Providing all visitors with a welcoming reception, comprehensive tour of the building and key information relating to the school’s programmes and services
  • Being responsible for dealing efficiently with course curtailments, course changes, course transfers and refund requests.
  • Ensuring both course fee and non-course fee revenue is maximised – and taking a lead role in increasing sales and assisting the Principal with achieving sales targets for the centre
  • Ensuring all financial returns, including petty cash, till, banking and invoicing records are produced on due dates, accurately and to specification
  • Collecting outstanding fees from students on Day One
  • Overseeing and ensuring compliance with UKBA regulations
  • Ensuring that proper procedures are in place for Day One
  • Lead role in the administration, registration and induction of new students
  • Ensuring school premises and facilities meet H&S regulations and are kept in a proper state of maintenance and repair
  • Assisting the Principal with short and long term development projects which aim to improve quality standards and ensure the smooth running of the centre on a day-to-day basis
  • Participating in the 24 hour emergency telephone rota with other customer service staff members

  • University degree
  • Experience of working in a customer facing environment
  • Experience of problem solving and managing conflicts
  • Experience of processing payments and producing financial reports
