The Role

This is an exciting role for a talented and determined sales professional with a passion for meeting targets and maximising sales opportunities. The post-holder will drive and manage product promotion and sales and conversion activities to increase student recruitment numbers into KIP’s UK, US and Australia Pathway Colleges, alongside its online programmes. This is a senior role in a dynamic, growing international education sector.


Main responsibilities and functions

  • Define and execute the sales and recruitment strategy for the Onshore and EU region
  • Developmental management and leadership of the regional sales team who are based in London
  • Full responsibility for reaching significant sales targets and managing the budget for the region
  • Ensure that recruitment targets are achieved in a compliant manner
  • Identify sales opportunities and barriers through discussion with team members; propose an action plan to maximise the opportunities and reduce the barriers
  • Maximise agent and direct student recruitment channels
  • Drive the highest levels of performance within the team and ensure excellent customer service to all stakeholders
  • Roll-out and manage an ongoing product training calendar for the Onshore sales team
  • Provide support to the regional sales teams on a day-to-day basis helping them to identify issues, find solutions, improve processes and increase recruitment opportunities
  • Domestic and overseas travel to visit key partners across the region for 8-10 weeks a year
  • Other projects and tasks as driven by Senior Management Team in line with Marketing and Recruitment priorities


About you

To be successful in the role you’ll have the following:

  • A university degree, ideally from a country other than your native country
  • Experience of minimum 5 years working in a target driven international student environment
  • Proven experience of meeting sales targets, on budget
  • Exceptional customer service ethos and attention to service levels
  • Ability to find and present solutions to remove sales barriers
  • Ability to identify team training needs and action effective training plans
  • Excellent organisational, inter-personal and communication skills
  • Strong business acumen, leadership and management skills
  • Strong grasp of marketing resources and how they can be used for different audiences
  • Excellent problem solving skills and ability to manage conflicting priorities
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of data accuracy
  • Strong working knowledge of IT / systems and ability to learn new systems quickly
  • Ability to see tasks through to completion
  • Willingness to work flexible hours where required (including some weekends during critical periods)
  • Willingness to work in a matrix management system and make decisions


Also, desirable would be:

• Experience using Salesforce CRM as a sales tool

• Awareness of Tier 4 student visa requirements

• Fluency in an additional language
