Mission of the position:
As logistics coordinator you are responsible for all activities in the department of logistics in order to optimize the incoming and outgoing flow in terms of cost, timing and customer satisfaction.


Responsibilities:

  • Act as prime contact for KME, Glovis, Transportation, PDI center and Insurance companies on logistics matters for new cars
  • Coordinate compound activities and vehicle transports of new cars
  • Maintain close collaboration with fleet department for administration of remarketing cars
  • Develop, implement and follow up the logistics procedures according to KME and Factory rules
  • Secure and follow up accurate procedures for compound and transport damage claims and Intervene in transport damages up till dealer delivery
  • Coordinate dealer delivery planning to secure the achievement of the monthly wholesale target of new cars
  • Support dealer network in logistics processes
  • Notify the dealer network about changes in the logistics processes and enforce the related procedures/ documents accordingly
  • Supervise monthly vehicle ordering & provide accurate production delivery bulletin info to dealers
  • Report weekly on stock statement (new and ageing stock) and advise on stock rotation
  • Report weekly on the wholesales status and forecast monthly wholesale figure
  • Implement necessary stock maintenance actions
  • Secure correct vehicle invoicing & availability car documents/preregistration for new and used cars
  • Initiate SAP/DP system and process improvements in close cooperation with IT manager
  • Support the enforcement of KMB finance procedures (RFA request, no ageing stock, credit line follow up & blocked cars)
  • Analyse dealer credit lines to release blocked new cars
  • Budget management of Logistics department
  • Analyse the transport cost and negotiate the annual compound insurance & secure damage claim refund
  • Monitor impact of model year changes on existing dealer orders in collaboration with sales department
  • Supervise the coordination for derogation request list of vehicles following technical EU regulations implementations
  • Supervise and support logistics administration (wholesale and retail action administration, upload data in SAP,…)
  • To guide, develop and to motivate subordinate staff in logistics department to encourage employee development and maximize their performance
  • Organize weekly meetings with Sales department to understand the needs in wholesale/retail actions, dealer deliveries
  • Ensure a close follow up of the BMS cars (preparation, ordering, accessories,…)
  • Collaborate closely with Marketing department and After Sales department to understand the needs for BMS arrangements.


Profile

  • Master Degree in Logistics or equivalent education and/or 5+ years in logistics in an automotive environment
  • Understanding of automotive standards
  • Understanding of design of routes for material handling
  • Able to establish priorities
  • Strong organizational, planning, analytical, communication and negotiation skills
  • Able to work in process oriented manner
  • Ability to lead and work with people in different activities and background
