Your Mission:

  • Develop and maintain Data & Analytics solutions for Kia Motors Europe (KME) and its subsidiaries
  • Maintain and further develop the existing data warehouse by integrating new data sources and optimizing existing ones
  • Improve maintainability, testability, readability, usability, and extensibility of the existing solutions
  • Design, implement, and test a new data infrastructure prototype following the KME IT data strategy
  • Build strong working relationships with KME business teams and technology vendors
  • Help the business teams answer business questions effectively and efficiently using data
  • Offer technical advisory and training for KME and its subsidiaries
  • Create technical and non-technical documentation

Your Talents:

  • Bachelor or master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, data science, data engineering, or a closely related field
  • Minimum 1 year of working experience as data engineer or software engineer developing Data & Analytics solutions
  • Significant experience with SQL and one of the high-level programming languages (e.g. Java, Python or JavaScript)
  • Familiarity with major software development tools (e.g., Git, Jenkins, Jira, Confluence) and Linux-based environment
  • Experience with SAP BW, query designer, and Tableau (or comparable BI tools) is a plus
  • Excellent quantitative and analytical skills to gather and interpret data to support key decisions
  • Ability to take initiative and work with minimal supervision
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities (investigation of complex business challenges and formulation of efficient and practical solutions)
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt quickly to new tasks, technologies and challenges in a fast-moving environment
  • Experience and/or understanding of the automotive industry is a plus
  • Good interpersonal skills and multicultural competence
  • Comfortable interacting with both technical & non-technical audiences across the organization
  • Enthusiastic about knowledge sharing
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills; additional languages are a plus
