Job mission


In this position you are responsible for the consumer insights area within the European Headquarter of Kia. You are leading consumer insights agenda and carving relevant learnings to fuel the organization’s growth.

The role sits within the Brand & Strategic Marketing Planning team which is responsible for developing marketing strategies, insights and processes to enhance the European Marketing operations. If you have experience in the market research area as well as a strong passion for cars, consumers and communication, this opportunity within Kia is a perfect match.

 

Your Responsibilities:


  • Build insights strategy and drive consumer insight topics to European HQ stakeholders including both project teams and top management
  • Translate complex data sets of available market studies and social and digital analytics into sharp, clear and compelling narratives triggering actions across both European HQ and 14 European markets
  • Drive European markets analysis, interpretation and reporting of country-specific consumer insights as basis for an integrated communication strategy including facilitation of insights workshop. Inspire markets to see big picture and dive into details where necessary
  • Manage the key ongoing and ad-hoc European research initiatives of Kia in the field of brand, advertising/communication and trends covering all steps in research process: from set up to deployment
  • Lead all agency serviced research work (brief; agency selection; project scope, timeline & cost alignment; project management; deployment of results & recommendations; follow up)  
  • Define brand targets for European HQ as well as European markets based on Kia’s brand strategy
  • Set up and manage business intelligence tools for ongoing reporting of key marketing/business data. Drive adoption of those tools by relevant stakeholders
  • Identify and qualify new research and intelligence approaches to derive relevant consumer insights  
  • Support the Global Headquarter in product clinic initiatives conducted in Europe for new model launches
  • Plan, manage and control European HQ’s Market research budget 


Your Profile:

 

  • University degree (Bachelor or Master) in Economics, Business Administration, Mathematics/Statistics, Sociology, Advertising or Media studies
  • Minimum 6 years of relevant work experience of which minimum 4 years in market/consumer research preferably with automotive, tech, mobility, or consumer goods background
  • Hands-on experience in both quantitative and qualitative market research techniques. Social Media/ Website Analytics experience first experience
  • Strong analytical skills with high affinity to figures and insights generation
  • High accuracy and attention to detail, excellent organisational and project management skills
  • Drive for results and ongoing optimisation, strong business/commercial understanding and ability to see the big picture behind the available data
  • Good negotiation skills
  • Ability to adapt in a dynamic and multicultural environment
  • Strong communicator capable of building strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers, good team player
  • Fluent in English and preferably German (written and spoken)
