The Opportunity: Operations Director
Embrace Residential Support (“Embrace”) has an experienced executive team in place and is looking for an Operations Director to help us develop and oversee the day-to-day operations of the business. We are in the process of opening two excellent houses in the North Kildare/ SW Meath region and have a growth plan in place to develop the service offering over the coming years. This role will have key responsibilities in relation to the delivery of this plan.
This is an opportunity to work with a proven, experienced team and put your stamp on a new, leading provider of residential support services in Ireland.
Embrace is a new, family-owned provider of residential support for people with intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorder and acquired brain injuries. Our ambition is to offer a strengths-based service to the people we support by taking the time to understand what they enjoy and how they can develop their skills. Underpinning all of this is an understanding that we are offering a home for people and an assurance from us that these homes are best-in-class; offering a range of on-site activities as well as facilitating local engagement with community initiatives and organisations.
Operations Director: Key Responsibilities
You will report directly to the CEO, James Magrane and be an executive board member, reporting with the CEO to shareholders at monthly board meetings. Your role is best divided into immediate and longer-term responsibilities:
Immediate and Ongoing Responsibilities:
§ As top-level management, you are responsible for overall service development, service provision and quality assurance
§ Responsibility for financial performance and contributing to budget preparation
§ Developing relationships with HSE managers
§ Building brand awareness among potential new employees, the HSE and families
§ Overseeing HIQA registration and regulatory responsibilities
§ Recruiting the PIC and corresponding support team
§ Delivering induction and organising any ancillary training required
§ Refining the company’s referrals process
§ Ensuring a smooth transition for residents
§ Some on-call responsibilities will be required, commensurate with a role of this level
§ Maintaining and developing strategic HSE relationships
§ Further development of the company’s brand and market presence
§ Implementation of an agreed strategic plan and associated KPIs
§ Delivery of quality assurance objectives across the service
§ Oversight of service-level KPIs and regulatory requirements
§ Managing a growing support team as well as operational roles
Operations Director: Skills and Experience Required
§ BA (Hons) Social Care or Nursing
§ 5-10 years senior management experience in residential care
§ Proven track record of delivering strategic KPIs
§ Demonstrable commitment to Quality Assurance
§ Embody a caring and supportive management style
§ Ability to work autonomously and foresee future opportunities
§ An experienced understanding of service-level risk and corresponding mitigation strategies
§ Excited by an opportunity to work with a team and develop a new, leading residential support provider
