Unique opportunity for a Director of Emergency services at a 460-bed, acute care hospital that provides medical, surgical, obstetrical, pediatric, trauma and emergency services to a five-county area in FL.
With many specialized programs, including a state-designated Regional Perinatal Intensive Care Center and Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, we deliver the most babies in Palm Beach County. A leader in critical care medicine, we treat more than 70,000 emergency and trauma patients each year.
We are seeking a Nursing leader with at least 5 years experience leading a Trauma Designated Emergency Department in an Acute Care Hospital environment.
Prefer experience working in a unionized environment but not required.
We need someone who has the proven ability to engage staff and physicians
This position will oversee a 20 Bed Level 1 Trauma Center with 70,000 visits per year. Patients are high acuity with a large volume of penetrating wounds (gun and knife). They also get a fair amount of Stroke and Psych patients. The position has 2 Managers reporting to it. One over the Adult ED and the other oover Trauma Services. RN staff is unionized. Saint Mary's is a Faith Based 460 Bed Facility including at 145 Bed Children's Hospital. It is a teaching facility
Bachelors Degree minimal, advanced degree in health care related field preferred
FL RN License required
BLS, ACLS, PALS (American Heart Association)
CPI within 30 days of hire
NIH Stroke within 60 days of hire
TNCC within 180 days of hire
Minimum of 3 years Supervisory experience in Acute Care
