Family Planning Director (Deadline to Apply: Friday, September 25, 2020 @ 4 PM)

Full Time, 40 hours per week Monday - Friday

The Program Director for the Family Planning Program is responsible for the overall leadership, management and coordination of the program. 

Management of the Federal Title X Family Planning grant for the Springfield area and surrounding counties.

Specific responsibilities include:

Achieving or exceeding the overall goals of the program providing family planning services.

Implementing a planning process that includes work plans and budgets for refunding applications for the provision of family planning services.

Carrying out fiscal responsibilities including developing and monitoring the budget for program services.

Providing adequate program and participant records.

Implementing agency and funding source policies

Staying informed about program related legislative and technical developments.

Supervising program staff and maintaining effective working relationships between program staff and other agency programs, county 

health departments participating in the program, funding sources and community agencies.

Evaluating the program through ongoing monitoring of program effectiveness and impact.

Purchasing office and clinic supplies and equipment as needed for the program.

Providing office, counseling and lab work support in the Central Office Family Planning Clinic as needed.

Knowledge, skills and ability:

Knowledge of basic management theory, practices and methods and at least 3 years of experience in their application.

Knowledge of current health and family planning theory, methods and practices.

Knowledge of laws and funding source regulations applicable to the program

Ability to prepare funding proposals and budgets.


College degree in health or related field.

Previous health programs supervisory experience.

Salary range begins at $62,400 annually. EOE
