One of the most important companies in the Oil & Gas sector in Mexico is looking for a Business Development Manager (BDM) for the Houston area.


Objective

The objective of the Business Development Manager (BDM) is to search for alternative sources of income to the current ones through:

  • New markets (sectoral, geographical)
  • Acquisition of companies
  • Development of new products / services or adaptations of current products
  • Partnerships with other companies.
It is the responsibility of the BDM:
  • Management of the Business Development Master Plan with the International Oil Companies (IOCs):
  • Carry out actions aimed at promoting the opening of new business by designing and executing the Business Development Master Plan.
  • Completion of the full sales cycle, consultation of visits, detection of customer needs, presentation of services and products , elaboration of commercial proposals, negotiation and follow-up of the same.
  • Get to know the market in depth and identify new opportunities and trends.
  • New accounts and managing leads:
  • Identify and qualify in the different market segments, national and international, potential corporate clients by increasing the share of penetration in each of them.
  • Systematic follow-up and loyalty of the potential and new clients developed by the Business Development team.
  • The preparation and realization of commercial visits:
  • Prepare beforehand the necessary documentation for the realization of corporate visits.
  • Present briefing of each corporate visit with qualified information about the client and recommendations of steps to follow, channeling their capture with the corresponding area.
  • Establish a relationship with the different IOCs and follow up.
  • Commercialization of programs and commercial representation:
  • Attend the national or international fairs to be planned, always representing the group of companies of the group.
  • Promote the visibility of the brand and the commercial representation of the company's complete portfolio of products and services.
  • The preparation and monitoring of offers:
  • Communicate the visiting briefings and the business valuation of the possible offers to the corresponding area, in order to respond to the clients with the maximum possible speed.
  • Collaborate in the elaboration and monitoring of the commercial proposal to the client, in coordination with the managers and deputy directors.


The BDM must have the following profile:

  • Great ability to manage contact networks and interpersonal relationships. Quality networking with PCSM executives from IOCs.
  • Extensive planning, analysis and customer tracking capabilities.
  • Proficiency in oral and written communication required at organizational levels of management and management.
  • Good investigative capacity in the search of information necessary for the development of the position.
  • Commercial orientation, achievement of goals and negotiation skills at a high level: know how to sell and get results.
  • Preferably bilingual English and Spanish, with proven experience in the area of ​​Business Development with IOCs
  • Availability to travel, nationally and internationally.
The competencies of the BDM:
  • Proactive person in the contribution of solutions and autonomous in the resolution of problems. Endowed with empathy and ability for interpersonal relationships, both with its work team and with internal and external clients.
  • Easy to integrate into a work team (it can be virtual) with which it has to share responsibilities, and to collaborate in environments of great activity.
  • Bilingual (Spanish a plus)
  • Experience in disruptive transformation of change management in companies.
  • Experience in qualification processes as a provider of IOC's
