MYP & General Music Teacher - Distance Learning
Woodstock School is looking for an experienced MYP & General Music Teacher (Distance Learning) to start in July 2021. Applications will be reviewed as they are received, so interested candidates should apply at once.
About the role: Teachers (Distance Learning) are responsible for the induction, individual learning plans, assessment and review of classroom learning for students currently enrolled at Woodstock. They are expected to attend regular, prior assigned, department meetings and return all paperwork in a timely manner in line with fair practice. All classes are conducted in India Standard Time unless agreed directly with the school and while classes may be conducted asynchronously at times, teachers (Distance Learning) are expected to align practice with the process outlined in the school’s Distance Learning Handbook.
While working from home, teachers are expected to maintain a professional presence online in line with Woodstock’s Christian ethos, and conduct both classes and meetings in a professional manner.
All classes will be conducted via the school’s own intranet and software licences will be provided for this benefit. However, teachers are expected to provide their own computer with good audio and video capabilities, through good internet access.
About you: You will have appropriate experience in the area of education you are undertaking and have a teaching qualification. You must have the ability to communicate with students and to motivate and support them in their studies. You will need to be adaptable to the school’s needs and be willing to be flexible with your working hours to support inductions and available for marking and giving feedback at times to suit the learners, working responsively with the School’s academic team to provide excellent student care.
Reimbursement: Teachers (Distance Learning) will be paid in line with the relevant Woodstock faculty salary prorated in accordance with the actual workload. While the number of periods (classes) should be much lower allowing for a part time nature all teaching will be capped at twenty (20) periods per week. Attendance at required meetings will match teaching reimbursement. Contracts will be reviewed on a semester basis (15 weeks).
