Test Automation Engineer

Who are we? As part of the expansion of its digital play, Amdocs recently acquired Brite:Bill. Brite:Bill's design­led, user­experience experts turn the customer bill into a unique, customercentric engagement channel.

Brite:Bill’s technology and services transform invoices into a personalized, digital, interactive billing experience in the channel of the customer’s choice. The customized and engaging design reduces customer confusion around the bill, thereby cutting service provider costs around inbound inquiries, and also provides an engagement opportunity for service providers to promote new services.

The following are the main objectives envisages for this role:

Take the lead in supporting and expanding the automated test frameworks for Brite:Bill’s product

Maintain both the framework and the test suites

Automation of a suite of functional and performance tests

Prepare test data and test environments to support testing

Execution of automated test cases and evaluation of the test case results

Troubleshoot and isolate problems encountered during testing; triage and root cause analysis Report and track issues in the JIRA ticketing system, keeping information up­to­date

Review and provide feedback on product and project documentation as needed

Work to an Agile methodology with the Product Development and Product Management teams to deliver BB products and solution

Core Competencies

Experience in building test automation frameworks, ideally in a java/Linux/open source environment

Experience across some or all of the following testing types: black box, white box, performance, security, integration

Development experience with java or demonstrated java coding ability

Fully understanding of software test lifecycle (agile and waterfall) and quality control methodology

Experience with web application and web service testing

Strong experience with MySQL, MS SQL server or Oracle databases Familiar with Linux / Mac system and shell commands

Experience with Selenium and/or FitNesse frameworks a definite

Familiar with version control, such as subversion, git Experience with Continuous Integration tools, such as Jenkins and maven Strong interest and passion in software test Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to deal with complexity in a fast paced environment Have the strong sense of communication and teamwork spirit BS in Computer Science/Engineering or related degree required Minimum 4 years’ experience in testing along with Computer Science/Engineering or related degree, or 6 years’ experience Good command of English, both written and spoken.
